14U - The 14U level is designated by USLacrosse as a 'competitive' level of lacrosse designed in many respects to prepare boys for the transition to high school lacrosse, but without losing the safety oriented rules and sportsmanship aspects of youth lacrosse. Long sticks for defense may be introduced in 14U boys and individual defensive body positioning skills emphasized to ensure appropriate use and skill development with defensive long sticks.
